In a different board that I frequent, Ozboy had posted this information about a trial being done; clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02058459?term=Holaira&rank=1#wrapper(Ozboy= I'm not trying to be a "name dropper" but I feel I need to give proper credit where I heard of this) I don't know if this movie will show for others as I've had a hard time seeing links from other countries, but interesting stuff so I hope it show up; This link has information on where they are doing the trials also. Of course I don't see america on the list, but it looks like there are trials in many other countries. If this works like they hope it could be a miracle for so many especially in the fact that it doesn't seem to have to be done in the early stages of this disease. If the links don't work, let me know & I will try again if someone can tell me what I may be doing wrong in posting links www.holaira.com/the-procedure/

It turns out Holaira, the company developing this is Holaira, Inc., of Minneapolis, Minn., I assume they found ti easier to get approvals in Europe. www.marketwired.com/press-release/first-copd-patient-treated-holairas-sham-controlled-trial-targeted-lung-denervation-2147635.htm. I mentioned these types of treatments to my Pulmonary specialist, he was aware of them. His concerns were on several levels. They don't saw what type of COPD they are testing, the same treatments would not work on all types as they damage different areas of the lungs in different ways. The trial groups are still extremely small and there is no tracking of potential longer term effects. And they appear to be very selective at what stage they are treating the patient. We can hope that they continue and have increasingly positive results!
