I would go a long way to avoid them, not so bad at a distance, a long distance.

I love them when I was a little girl my neigbor played them most every night .They helped me get to sleep. I can remember lying in my bed listening to them,Man does that take me back. I was just telling my daughters about them the other day as a matter of fact. bobbioh

My SIL plays them and belongs to a piper band. She seems to really like them. They look like they're very hard to play.

Jackie - If you knew her, she'd be the first one to laugh. She's a great lady.

I love them it must be in the blood cause my Dad was a Corporal in the Toronto Scottish Regiment, needless to say he wore a kilt. He used to go to all the Tattoos. When he retired from General Motors after 35 years of service we had him piped in to his retirement party. When he died we had him piped out and you guessed it Amazing Grace still tears me up...

We did the same for my dad. Lone piper on a hill above us at the cemetery. I took some lessons long before I was diagnosed and hardly had the wind to squawk out some sounds. It's very difficult. Rosie, maybe someday if I can get enough beer into him ;D
