I agree with gerald!! I wish I could just fall asleep like some people and wake up refreshed, but never have for as long as i can remember. I used to fight to fall asleep "at a decent hour", but the harder i tried the more frustrated i'd become & the less i could fall asleep= it was a vicious circle!! Now days, I have 'allowed' myself to sleep the hours my body seems willing to sleep. I go to bed early, but watch TV until 3am when i fall asleep. (luckily i live with my dog & she is happy to have what ever hours i have) Then I wake up at 9am...but make myself stay in bed until 10am when coffee goes off.....sometimes i get lucky & fall back to sleep until 10 however, if i get really sick, it seems like my whole sleep pattern goes out the window & i'll sleep all day & then be awake all night----i don't like that!!!

I have had trouble sleeping for a few years. Some nights just lay there , some I turn the tv on after laying several hours , about 1 watch for half hr and then turn it off and I can get to sleep. I think it has been better last few months with oxygen on.

I'm the same as you Jarca! I could go to bed early, late, no matter what, I toss and turn half the night. I do have the tv on, *probably be better off if I shut it off* but for some reason I need noise. I could build a HOUSE, sure, or lazy around, and no matter what I still have troubles falling asleep. But if I get uo in the morning have a coffee, and lay back down, I sleep like a baby.. go figure!!

To help switch off an overactive mind, rub the soles of your feet with one drop of lavender oil before you go to bed.

A couple of drops of lavender oil on your pillow may help. It helps me and Brenda, we spilt a bit one night thus overdoing it and were Zombies for part of the next day.
