Muffin,
That sure is the true. But I was taking Advil and the Dr. told me and it has helped. But I thought this was a good read.

Mine are caused by the steroid inhaler. Not much I can do about that though. ;D When I cut back my dose, my asthma symptoms came back.

Oh and don't forget aspirin will also cause you to bleed into the tissues more easily.
Working, I always instructed surgical patients to take NO aspirin or any product containing aspirin for at least two weeks before an elective surgery.

For a long time they told us that inhaled steroids caused no problems, in recent times its admitted that skin damage can occur. In spite of this many GPs will tell you its just an age thing, they had me convinced for a while ;D. I am unable to do anything of a manual nature, 10 minutes in the garden and my hands and arms are a mess, summer is worse as then the arms have no protection, a light knock against a door or even the dog jumping up. I do counter the problem with extra care and keeping arms covered, gloves in the garden.

Larry,
With this and so many other things, I don't think they know so they just make it up as they go for many years I have heard its just something that happens when you get older. No reason just a part of life. Now we all know that to be Bull
