I have spent a few days reading on the forums, before I registered . I don't know anyone who has COPD so I am pleased to see so much valuable information posted here. The breathing exercise - video's - have been very informative and helpful.

Thank you Lavishgail, I really appreciate the welcome, advise and compliment. Evie is short for Evelyn. My niece, when she was a toddler had difficulty saying my name and called me Auntie Evie. I really really liked the sound of that and 27 years later we still use it. I have been looking on the internet for COPD information, and there is a LOT of that available, but I was attracted to this forum and kept coming back. Reading reading reading everything. I was drawn to Gerald's posts, very informative, but moreso I was pleased to see he lived very near to me. I don't know anyone with COPD and thought wouldn't it be cool to meet someone... I probably read all his posts before I discovered that Gerald had passed on. That was a let down but Still I kept coming back. I saw that the regular visitors to this forum were long-time members. That's a good indication that there is more here than just information, there's room for friendships. I am a people person (in small groups) but I am a house-mouse, like you I am staying home a lot so we have a little something in common, and I really like your purple hair - how fun is that ! I can assure you I have joined this site and will stay, looking forward to spending time with you AND meeting all the other regulars this site has attracted...  |

 Jade Thank you for the welcome. Short and sweet, that's cute I have a sister who lives in Melbourne too. I chat with her on Skype almost every day. She usually comes to Canada every other summer, but the virus is standing in her way this year. I look forward to chatting with you Evie |
