I suppose most of you are like me, affected badly by cleaning chemicals, high on the 'bad' list was cleaning agents needed for showers and baths. My wife Marilyn has come up with answer for that problem, not sure where she got the idea. Its so simple, once you have it clean coat the surface with common car wax, not the abrasive kind, from then on dirt just rinses off, no more chemicals.

. Using car wax is an excellent idea. On our camper, we often get black pollution streaks as well. If we do a excellent deep cleaning in the spring and rub on the car wax, its simply "wet and wipe" until fall time. Then, we deep clean and wax it again in the fall. I would assume the same "deep clean and car wax" concept would work great for an inside shower stall as well. Especially on the hard tile surface. For us, we don't use a glass shower door anymore. We replaced it with a plastic curtain. When the inside liner gets too dirty, we simply throw it away and replace with a new one. Under $5.00 at our local hardware store. Replacing your shower curtain instead of washing it might work great for others as well.....

Wouldn't that make the surface slippery to stand on?

Ours has a non slip surface at the bottom, if it did not perhaps a non slip mat would solve that. To me it does not feel slippery even on the smooth sides.

Larry-What a great idea, never gave it a thought before but seems it would be so much easier and a lot less chemical smell.

Larry, that is a great idea. AND the walk on surface should not be slipery at all.
So how often do you need to wax it?

How often? I suspect the quality of the wax will come to bear, we know its good for a month
