For this 'good Friday', but rather long one, I am preparing one brief message to update my family, friends and associates that I have been keeping up to date by way of the Internet. I will provide more details as more progress is made and my mind clears.
Joe and his family could not have asked for anything better than what we got today. The surgery was done and the tumor and right lower lobe was removed and I believe the middle lobe. All looked good and will be getting tests results later.
Joe was told he would probably be on a ventilator Friday night and maybe Saturday morning. As it went, he was breathing on his own and no ventilator. That alone was a big step.
Everyone is tired. Barring anything unexpected it should be uphill from here. My heart goes out to him for the pain he is enduring but it looks like it is all working out.
We are thanking God and we had many prayers from all over and cannot thank everyone enough. I am so thankful for the friends and family and doctors that have been with us thru this. Thank you thank you thank you. We Thank God for all he has given us.

Ahhhhhhhhh Mary; thank you for posting. I was about to carry your message over from my e mail when I saw you'd been here. The first thing I did this morning was check my mail though I didn't expect I/we'd hear from you. I had trouble sleeping last night, calculating with the time difference, what cognitive stage Joe should be in,wondering how you and your son were doing etc.... Mary; I am just so darn pleased. You guys deserve a good outcome. Post if/when you can. I'll keep you in my thoughts & prayers.  |

Hi Mary; Great news indeed. Please give Joe a big hug from Carol and I and one for your Mom too. Take care of yourself now, Joe is in good hands and will be home soon.

Mary that is just Great News, thank you so much for keeping us up to date, you and Joe were certainly in my thoughts yesterday. Still sending more positive thoughts your way. Please get some rest my dear you surely need it. I have been carrying posts from here to Cozy to keep them up to date, lots of thoughts and prayers coming from there to...Take Care  |

Dear Mary,
What a relief, God speed in Joe's recovery, does he have chest tubes in? Make sure you take care of yourself too, I thought about you and Joe during this. I hope you get some rest, and may the sun shine on you, Joe and family.

I'm so pleased I got to get online today. This is just the best news that could have greeted me. I'm so happy for you and Joe. Please make sure you take care of yourself during Joe's recovery. You need to rest. I've been keeping you and Joe in my prayers and will continue to do so.
