Hopefully if we have no more unexpecteds I won't have to be taking so much space in Thoughts and Prayers now. My husband did come home from the hospital Tuesday. There is an air pocket yet in his lung. If he gets 'real' sob he is to call 911 and get to the ER. I don't know how concerned to be about this yet. It has created a little anxiety with all of us. The RT saw it a couple days ago and someone saw it on the x-ray Tuesday. It may just be like mentioning side effects to medicines? One other problem is that the bottom of his mouth is sore. One doctor in hospital said it was not thrush. He will see the Pulmonary Dr Thursday and maybe can learn more. Nice to be home and to have him home. He is all right but not too chipper. I don't know just what we are to expect. He didn't come home with o2 but still may get it. Numbers seem okay still. Pain is not bad as meds handle it. I would have posted earlier BUT I got myself into some pain. I felt bad complaining of my pain when I know what he went thru was so much worse. I got caught over the weekend with mouth problem. Got me to the dentist this morning and I will be seeing a specialist tomorrow for a root canal if the dentist is right and think he is. Again I am not as supportive as I expected to be. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and I know it helped us get where we are. I had planned on posting right away but been living on ibuprofen and sleep a lot. Only up now as slept most the day. This whole situation with me is a bummer as my husband sees the Pulmonary Dr at 1:30 and I go to the Dental Specialist the same time. Had to get extra drivers for tomorrow. My son couldn't drive us both at same time. What a bummer. (grrr grin) I was taking 2 Tylenol every 2 hours but when called dentist yesterday was told to take 800 mg of Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen works on the mouth and not Tylenol. Did that every 8 hours and worked much better but not great. I often wondered about the use of Tylenol, Ibuprofen and pain meds (not together ) and should have asked much sooner. Going back to bed very soon now.

Hi Mary--I'm so glad you are both home. Home can be so comforting, however, I sure can relate to your dental/root canal issue. I hate those. It seems as though when it rains it pours. I'll be thinking of you and your husband along with prayers. You both have been through so much and I hope you both have a nice long respite from pain, hospitalizations, root canals, etc. It can become overwhelming. Prayers and ((HUgs))from SC to AZ...Joyce

Mary; thank you for posting and updating us. You and Joe have certainly been on our minds. Although you've a bit of running around to do yet, there is comfort as Joyce said, in simply being "at home" where you should be.
Continue to heal; prayers and positive thoughts will continue to be sent your way.

Thoughts and best wishes are still coming your way. People seem to do better once they get home. Hope all goes well with the dentist.
