Okay folks, I am just learning my way round the forum and though it might be a good idea to start a Newsletter thread. I am starting to work on the Fall edition and need input from you as to what you would like to see covered. Also I would welcome anyone who would like to contribute/write an artic1e for us!! This would avoid Chris having to watch:

Gwen - do you think it might be possible to have something in the COPD newsletter on tax implications for Canadians disabled by COPD. I'm sure everyone knows to keep and submit their receipts if they have to travel for medical treatment, but I'm sure that there are other tax issues that a disability affects. Perhaps there is an accountant in our group who would share some information on this topic. Dave

Dave, That is a really good suggestion and I will do some research on it and see what I can come up with. There are so many extra expenses for people with COPD that I am sure any extra "help" would be great. Look for something on it in the September issue! Gwen

What a Great Suggestion.....I will keep my eye out for any information, my Aunt does Income Tax so I will check with her and see if she has any suggestions...I know one thing for sure I applied for and Received an Ontario Disability Tax Credit on her suggestion and you can request they go back to the date you were disabled...
