For those of us who are also familiar with the 'efforts' board, one of the founding members passed away yesterday. He was a much loved and much respected man who worked tirelessly to help and educate those with COPD and the general public. I have copied the announcement below. Many grieve this day.
Frank, God speed and peaceful rest my friend.
Dear Friends,
It is with the deepest regret that I have to tell you that our much loved Vice President, Frank, died peacefully yesterday evening at 5.45 PST. His wife, Erika, very much appreciated your kind thoughts and prayers during these last few difficult days.
Frank wished for a quiet, no fuss Cremation and therefore there will be no Funeral Home or Memorial service. Erika said that if members wish to send donations in Frank's name to EFFORTS, this would be exactly what he would want; he cared deeply for all the Members and knew just how much EFFORTS has meant in improving the quality of our lives.
Linda has said that those who wish to can write in to the main list with their messages of condolence and thoughts on our loss of such a wonderful person. These messages will be gathered together and sent on to Erika in the form of Memorial pages. .
As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so life well used brings happy death. Leonardo da Vinci (1452 - 1519)
