Today was our last day of Physio for this year!! We had a few rough days early this week but today went very well for us. A group of us met for coffee afterwards and exchanged Cards and Christmas stories. One gentleman brought us an album of his hometown and family. He has been hear for 2.5 yrs and received a double lung/heart transplant in August. He will be returning to his home on the west coast end of January. Another couple brought us all cookies. I went with another couple down to the Eaton Centre and Town Hall to take pictures, hubby couldn't make it but he did get to enjoy the pictures! Tomorrow is clean up day, we are having 2 other couples from the east coast join us for Christmas dinner so we should have a great "down home" Christmas.

Thanks Kathy.....I take it all has been quiet.....maybe till after the New Year? You said something.... "He has been here for 2.5 yrs and received a double lung/heart transplant in August" All I can say is WOW! Mind if I ask a stupid question or two? Were the transplants done at the same time? And; did the need for a lung Tx casue the heart problems or was that already a problem?

The fellow who had the double lung/heart transplant was born with a congenital condition. He had both done at the same time, and is dong very well now, he did have a few issues and complications which is why he is still here. Believe it or not but he was actually a logger all his life and never let his health issues take over until a few years ago when he just couldn't manage anymore. There have been 3 double lung/heart transplant done here in Toronto this year. What an amazing place!
