I've noticed that when I get SOB, I don't feel it in my chest --- I feel it in the top of my abdomen (center). My GP tells me it's because my diaphram is overworked. Do we all get this (COPD'ers) or just some of us???

I get that (if I'm understanding your explanation) though for me it's not so much SOB but the dad gum muscles I use for breathing get tired and sore. ...Jackie NS

I don't get actual pain, but it is more (very hard to explain) a tiredness at the top of the abdomen along with a panicky feeling, and fast breathing until I can calm my breathing down. It's a very scary feeling for me.
