I was taking a PPI, but the doctor asked me to try Ranitidine instead. I'm not sure, but I don't think it is a PPI but it is for acid. Next time I'm there I'll ask him about it. Thanks for the article.

Cheryl, I have never heard of Ranitidine Iwill have to google it. It sounds almost like a liquid to me and I don't know why. I am a strange cookie

Ranitidine is another name for tagamet.
