. Sad to announce that our neighbour's golden lab (Tammy) is gone. She was a young pup when I first seen her and with both guardians working full time, she got into too much trouble during the day. She shreded their sofa, scratched their door frames apart and created messes on a few of their floors. Then again, if I was locked in an empty house all day long, I'd get into too much trouble as well. When I visited my neighbours, I often played with Tammy - when the opportunity came our way. We would play fetch and many times, she tried to jump up on my body. Jump as to say, "hey - please pay more attention to me. You're the only person who does". After 9 months, her owners felt Tammy was more trouble then she was worth. Thus, she was given to a different family. A family where 1 parent is home all the time. Sad to announce but Tammy is now gone.
YES. I'm going to miss Tammy. She was a playfull creature who only wanted to play in life. Hopefully, she's in a much better place now. A place where she will receive more attention (from her owners) and be given the proper training. For example, when to jump up, and when not to scratch at door frames and when to know the difference between proper behavior and "free play time".
Tammy, you will be missed. But hopefully, you are in a much better place today. I think the hardest part of this situation is, "I didn't get to say goodbye". I didn't know until it was too late.
BTW: When I go, I wonder if my wife will write something like the above on my head stone??? mmmm.... I wonder....
Take care everyone and remember, we can all learn from Tammy. We all need to get out and play more often. Especially on great weather days....

Spike, I'm so sorry. I know you will miss Tammy. Animals are such great companions. They take you as you are. We had a golden retriever. They are beautiful dogs too. I miss him alot. BTW - did you change the address of your avatar? I'm just getting a red x for it now.

Spike,
Sorry about the loss of Tammy. Just know that she will meet you again at Rainbow Bridge and you will play once again.
Happy Trails
