October 9th Bobbi called me this morning from the hospital on her cell. (I tried calling her room earlier but the phone had a "Do Not Disturb" ) She wasn't aware of it. She figures the nurses turned it off - it kept falling over. Well....... what can I say? She's sounding so much better! She tells me she looks like "crap" arms are black and blue etc but today was the first day she felt up to doing anything - She asked about all of you and if everyone was O.K. I lightly touched on a few folks here..... She did say it was touch and go for a bit; right now though she doesn't want to know all about it but she said Rachael (her daughter) stood up and took on all of them by herself. (I won't elaborate here; I'll leave that and a couple of other things up to Bobbi) She'll be having to use a CPAP at night - sounds like they cost about $400 and there was some Insurance issues. I told her she shouldn't have to be doing battle with anyone at this stage and she told me no; there's a woman looking after it now. Bobbi feels she's lost about a week.... a great deal of it is kinda blurry. The Life Flight was down the day she was transferred (bad weather) but she told me she wasn't overly afraid en route for several reasons.... one of them (I think she said) was this fellow with HUGE blue eyes. I guess he was the Paramedic with her? Either that or she's leading a double life! As for her getting out; that's still unknown.... they tell her maybe a day or two all the time. We talked about the fact that she "is" ill and she just can't be doing a lot of what she does and perhaps this was a big "wake-up" for her family. "Things are gonna change" is what she told me. They've been using some kind of (squooshing) pillows on her legs (to help with circulation). She loves them. She calls them "Chatter Pillows" Anyway; she did mention that her MIL was having a pace maker put in today so it was probably a good thing she was where she is. I told her when she gets home she can print off and read all the notes here for her. Then she'll have them as a kind of keepsake. She's looking froward to it and she wants you to know she will explain things much more (as to what transpired) when she's back on line and able to. So; sounds like she doing relly good don't you think! Keep it up lady!!!

Nice work for us, Jackie. I am so glad you are able to bring us thiese updates. Yes, she does sound much more herself. More upbeat.
Glad you are going to change some things, Bobbi. We, and your family, want to have you around for many more years to come. We all want to do everything we can to help our kids out but sometime we have to face the fact that we can't be all things to all people. With you being out of commission, I'll bet other arrangements have been made and working out ok.
BTW, how has your new haircut held up while you've been laying on it all week? Boy, I'll bet you can't wait to get into the shower and scrubba scrubba scrubba!
Keep on doing whatever ii is that's making you well again. Like we've all said, WE MISS YOU!!!
Sue

I am really late checking in tonight. So very happy to read much better news. I clearly remember my big hospital stay from years back and it can change your way of thinking for priorities. Glad to hear things will change. For starters, now you focus on getting you back on your feet and all else will get taken care of.
Go slow and breath easy. Will continue sending the prayers.
Jackie, Thanks for always getting your updates so clear. You write very well. It makes it fun and easy to read even under these kind of circumstances.

Great news. Been a rough time for them all. With the worst over maybe they'll all get a little rest now.

Bobbi, So glad to hear that you are doing much better. Was thinking of you all last week and praying for a good recovery. Now is the time that you have to heed the advice and let others pick up their share of the load. No more running after e'one!!! Rest well my friend.
