Google www.copdfoundation.org What a fantastic idea. What do you all think??? I am going to write our provincial health ministers and see if we can get something like this up here in Canada. The msu sounds like a winner to me. Imagine a Mobile Spirometery Unit going to all kinds of public functions. Fall fairs, exibitions, any place peole gather. Fantastic. What are your thoughts on this? It could be as simple or elaborate as each province could afford and I bet the corporate sponsers would line up to share the expenses.

World COPD day of 2005 we had a mobile unit, free testing, it should be done more often as it is a good idea.

It is a great thing to do and I can see the help it would be. But they need visit some of the smaller areas also. I would love to see what they would find in this valley if they would do that here.

Bear I think it would be a great idea, I also like the idea of the call centre. Sometimes it would be nice to talk to someone about what is going on. I googled Gerard Turino, M.D and he is quite a well-respected Dr.
Got my vote..

Already told you what I thought Bear; plus I've been after a fellow for awhile locally to take something like this on (which he'd originally thought of a few years back) I even made a copy and gave it to him which he wanted to keep. Things like that are badly needed. But heck; they could be screening very easy in a Dr's office or clinic even one day a week.

It's a wonderful idea that all communities should have available.
I find it appalling that most family doctors don't even have the units in their offices. There is NO excuse for that.
