Jr. had his surgery, and is now on a Vent,
Linda has been at the hospital all day, JR. had his surgery, and went into Respitory problems,
They need all our thoughts and prayers. Linda was alone, and she is tired.
Linda, I love you so much, and will keep you close to my heart and JR too.

Thank you all for prayers and your positive thoughts.
Guess there are unexpected circumstances/situations that happen and one would expect us to be prepared BUT honestly I was not prepared for all this, and neither was Jr.
Had our update call this a.m.. Said he done well over night but...... they called surgeon and it MAYrequire another surgery. Hope and pray not but if he gets better that is what matters.Still listed critical. Can't get into see him till Noon so trying to return calls and fix dinner for other guys for tonight.
Stayed away from him 4 days because I had fever and not well then all this came.
Will keep you updated as can.
Bobbi there is something you can do-----take care of yourself and Don't get back down.

Some good news.Jr. was taken off vent, throat is very sore and hard to talk or swollow but it is out. They even took him out of ICU late yesterday but is still being monitored.
Guess from what I am told surgeon said may need another surgery, but going to wait an unclear number of days to see if things are going to work proper. If not he goes through it again, needless to say JR is not happy but confident it will be ok after he gets some food. Still getting nothing but ice chips and he is yelling for jello.

This is great news. Hopefully things get on the path to a quicker recovery. So glad he is off the vent. This certainly must be some relief to you. You need a reprieve from all this and so does Jr. Hope it comes real soon.

I can just imagine a guy yelling for his jello. Glad that he is out of ICU and I hope he heals on his own w/o needing the op. I have a friend who has a colostomy and he is doing well. It has been a million years since he had it done in the VA hospital as it was from an injury in the Vietnam war. I hope JR does as well as he has. Were you able to stay home today or did you go in to visit? How's your cold? Hope you're feeling better.

Jr. asked me to thank you all for the prayers during his ordeal, said it is different for people he don't know to care, but really appreciates each of you.
He is feeling better now that he finally got broth and his jello. The pain has started to ease until they move him around and his voice is starting to sound more normal. Still not sure if will need any more surgery but said will know more by middle of week.
Have to tell you he is spoiled by the staff at Select. He went into SCU when transferred back there and yesterday one of the charge nurses came in and told us he was going upstairs into a regular room. Then was told someone else was in the room he previously had but if he would wait a couple hours they would move that person and he could have his room back (best view of outside on that floor). Of course he decided to wait. When he got upstairs there was a banner that said"Welcome home"
Susanny I am doing better tks for asking

How Great is that! He's got the nurses wrapped around his finger, doesn't he?! That makes for good care, though. Not that all patients shouldn't get the best of care but it seems that personnel pay more attention to favorites thus listening more to the patients "complaints" about changes in their health. Did that make sense?
Plus it makes Jr's days go by easier. I'm glad both of you are feeling somewhat better.

Sometimes its an advantage to be late, at this point instead of sharing in grief with you Linda and JR I can join you in your joy at the good news. All the best both of you.
