That's fantastic news Joe!; thank you for sharing...let alone finding it! Heck; and even Chris lives in B.C.! A few of us have been after the governments of the different provinces re: "updating" their drug coverage meds. I.E. Symbicort and Spiriva. I doubt whether our efforts have had any impact but it doesn't matter. The end result is what counts! Now; if we could only get them to assist the folks who fall between the cracks re: gross income vs expenses; you know; the ones who earn too much for assistance (i.e. Pharmacare)but not enought to cover meds. Phil had a problem that way..... We'll keep trying..... Thanks again Joe.... I'll add it to the COPD Canada www.copdcanada.ca website in the COPD In the News Section...... You DID GREAT!

Thanks Joe, that news will be great for people in Canada.
I"ve been on it for a couple of years and love it. I would hate to see how bad I would be if we didn't have it here.

If some of you do not have a drug plan, or insurance plan, I think if you approach the manufacturer they sometimes will help you out with a supply, or your Respirologist's or Dr.s office. Last time I was to Dr. Ross he gave the previous patient some inhalers..

They do that Ellen (Dr's offices); I've even been given a few samples myself. Becasue of the laws in Canada, drug manufacturers are somewhat restricted.
It's funny that all this should come up becasue this week I'd planned on contacting a few of the drug manufacturers to see if in fact they have some sort of clearing house re: patient assistance programs like they do in the U.S.

I'm sorry I don't have the exact facts, but you know me always reading on the computer, I have some many bookmarks on my computer, I had to sub-categorize them in alphabetic order. I do remember reading about it, and I will see if I can find the information and post it...
