. Like many folks, I've done the MS DOS, Windows 3.0, 3.1, 3.11 (WFW), Win 95, 98, ME, XP and currently, find the need to upgrade again. Was thinking of going to Windows 7 and taking my chances with it. Or, I can go with Apple platform - like the Mini-Mac or iMac systems. Since I have to learn Windows 7 from scatch anyway, I can take the opportunity to learn Max OS instead.
For those of you who have Windows 7 platfroms, would you pick it again? For those of you who have Apple/Mac platforms, would you pick it again? Why or why not?
If wondering, there isn't a right or wrong answer to either OS platforms. Just wondering how people feel about their "computing / internet surfing" tool. And, if they'd pick the same tool again.
thanks.

Update:
Due to limited available dollars, it appears we'll be running our current late 2004 Windows XP - Service Pack 3 workstation for 11-13 more months. Unfortunately, we don't have the spare dollars to replace it.
Today, I bought 1 Gig of DDR memory ($75 CDN) and installed it. Thus, creating total of 1.5 Gigs of RAM. Removed a 40 Gig HDD (FAT32) from my 2001 Windows 98 Workstation, and installed it using self tapping screws and glue (don't ask - LOL!!!) - as an internal SLAVE drive. This additional drive will be used for our current DATA files (moved off its "full" C: drive).
My wife says our 2004 Windows XP machine is now a little faster. And, its "cleaned up" desktop looks much better as well... I call it our "refab" machine - hoping to get another 11-13 more months out of it.
Long post short... We'll be "living with what we have Window XP machine" for another year. Perhaps getting a new Windows 7 or an iMac 27" in late Dec 2010 or spring of 2011.... Only time will tell...
