.
A few moments ago, I read my family's personal email account and read a letter that was addressed to my wife. It was from one of our dear friends and she (the lady) was trying to hide the bad news from me. But, I found (and read) the email before my wife read it.
It was a long email stating that her husband (who's also my dear friend for 10+ years) was diagnosed with blocked heart arteries. They are now deciding if stent insertions OR triple by-pass surgery is required. If wondering, my buddy & I are the same age range and both of us were diagnosed with T2 Diabetes the same month. Both him and I dropped our extra body weight (re: extra 50-60 lbs) and we now both do tons of exercise each week - to keep our "D" under better management. And today, we "eat & rest" much better as well.
This email was "from the wife's heart" and it was pleading that my wife give more positive support "to me". And when needed, we take vacations (to decompress) and when I may complain of weird pains, my wife needs to listen. This lady was warning my wife to "never" let this happen to me (my body). A pleading message that brings tears to anyone's eyes.
With above in mind, appreciate your prayers for my buddy Roger. Hopefully, his doctors can help "pull his body" out of its current blocked condition and help get back onto track. A "long life" healthy track...
Also.... I never realized the deep love a wife can have for her husband. Perhaps there was a reason for me accidentally stumbling upon this specific email (that was addressed to my wife)? Perhaps some things are suppose to happen for a reason???
thanks.

Always a reason when odd things happen. Sometimes the universe steps in to change the course of what's happening. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. There is a plan....and we don't always know what it is.

Thank you for sharing this. I think the message goes for anyone who loves and is loved by someone. I will certainly keep Roger in my prayers, and his wife.

Spike; w/o a doubt I'll be praying for your friend Roger.
If I may add a little something here that I HOPE might help; even if just in the slightest.....
About 13 or 14 years ago our "in-house" accountant at the time, had a heart attack. He wound up having quadruple bypass surgery. He also had a serious cholesterol problem at the time. A scary situation because Tom was more than an employee. He was a friend.
Anyway; Tom's in his late 60's now, works full time, exercises (walking and cycling) you;'d never know how bad of shape he was in.
Good things CAN come from bad; for everyone. Look at you; you're a good example!
I don't know if your wife is aware yet that you read her mail, or if she's even aware that you know. Chances are she she does since the two of them are friends...... Perhaps she left it there for you to read?
Regardless Spike....... Yes; I will have Roger in my heart and YES; I will say a prayer and send positive healing thoughts!

Thanks for eveyone's support and a strong shoulder to lean on. And, various ideas to perhaps find a positive side of his situation. re: They caught it early without permanent damage, it can be repaired and when repaired early, one can still live a long and healthy life (thank you Blossom). If wondering, my buddy Roger is home from the hospital (taking it easy), is now off work (due to sick leave) and still waiting for the chosen corrective plan. Hopefully, his doctors will focus on the "long term" recovery ideas - like my buddy is praying for as well...
