Thanks Ellen; I'm familiar with Penny; as I recall she was to have her LVRS done in the spring (after cold and flu season) but I'm not sure that she did. (been meaning to track her down and find out) Anyone know?

No I did email her at the end when I signed her guest book but did not hear anything, did you see the part that explains the V/Q scan?

I read Penny's journal a while ago. I don't know if she's had the LVRS. If she did I hope it she's doing well.

As a matter of fact; yes I did read about the VQ scan....and I thank you very much. I'm curious though if anyone "feels" anything by way of the "injection". I.E....I found out the hard way a number of years back that "contrast dyes" for CT's and me DON'T work. Not something I want repeated....I found out real quick why I had to sign a waiver (I was still living in the US) at the time.

I didn't "feel" anything, but they did make me lay down when they gave it to me, so there had to be a reason for that. Ask before they inject you.

I dont think she was able to do it because she did not have a large enough support system at the time,To help her get thru the healing from surgery. She is over at COPD International about everyday. And she has not mentioned having it done yet. bobbioh

What Bobbi posted is also the last that I heard. People have asked Penny about having it done and the loss of her support system was the response. She had posted in one of Auntiemame's topics too, with interest. Auntiemame is in the study and just had the BLVR. You can usually sort of 'page' Penny on CI forum if you want.
