Hi All !here's a follow up on the trial . I was called today ,but decided not to participate . I would have to get off all the rest of my meds . I'm not ready to "rock the boat " that much as my meds that I'm on are working pretty well I did ask them to call me if they get a stem cell trial

I can understand that, John. There's a trial going on one state over from me, but as you said, you need to be off any other meds. Nuh, uh

As much as I supporat clinical trials etc; I think you were wise John to bow out of. You've been doing pretty good..... no need to rock the boat.

I must agree about going off of meds. That's a nerve-wrecking thought.

I have heard of a couple of meds that are being tested to replace or use instead of Advair and I believe they are very close to final approval. This is all just talk I'm picking up from the pharma community so I can't swear to anything. I do know that one of them that has been passed around here has been affectionately dubbed 'son of Advair'. So, new things are happening and I believe they will make a big difference for those in the mild to moderate range.
