Today was Day 1 of my assessment at Toronto General Hospital. My schedule was: Tuesday May 19 8:00am Echo cardiogram 9:00am Blood tests, Chest X-ray, ECG, 10:30am PFT/ABG's 12:15pm CT thorax Other than a mix up when I went for my PFTs (they didn't have a record of my appointment) everything went very well, on time and each test was pretty quick. The PFT's were a little more intense than I had expected so I'm pretty bushed. My lungs got a good workout. The bad news is the PFT's showed my FEV 1 has dropped to 15%; not good. It was a little stressful getting around the hospital as it is so big however the directions given were precise so we made out okay. After we left the hospital we had to go home because when we came down yesterday to the hotel, we had forgotten to bring our shirts which were still hanging in a bag in our closet! Good thing we don't live hours away. I'll check in again tomorrow. Toni

And so it begins Toni...... Did you crash like Wendy suggested or are you one of the Eveready bunny types? Well; today I read is a scan for you but also a LOT of the "psychological" reviews etc. and probably even more draining than y'day. I'll be interested to hear how it went..... BTW; I hope you didn't/don't mention you were seeing squirrels one day here..... ;D

Glad to hear things went smoothly, except for the shirt thing. It does look like it was a physically draining day on you. I would imagine the psychological reviews will be just as draining, emotionally.
Good going!

Good Luck Toni!
All the testing will be worth it, I know it must tire you out.
Next time put a note on the inside of the front door to remind yourselfs of the shirt or something else you need to remember. Good luck and thatnks for sharing your Journey with us.
Love Linndie
