Allergy testing Today made the great journey down to National Jewish for my allergy testing. Char took me as always but the two little ones were with us this time as school is out…they watched a movie the whole way down. (Where were these modern conveniences when my kids were little and we drove across the country?) Got there and when I went back, I let Adrian go with me…they had me put on a gown opened in the back and then sit at a little table, with a pillow on the table and I could lean over resting on the pillow, actually felt very comfortable…..She then inserted 67 little pokes into my back….kind of in 4 rows going down…they first poke you with a test area, one for a positive and one for a reaction…..after all the things are poked you wait 15 minutes. During this time I was told not to scratch if itching developed….well, ?? You just injected nasty little things that my body doesn’t like, and wants to get rid of, and she tells me not to itch!!!!! Heheheheheehe I knew I had one area that reacted by the itching, near the center of my back…Adrian looked at it and went, yep it’s red and looks different than the others…..(good chance for him to see things going on that look scary but they aren’t and they don’t hurt) The results………drum roll please.dadadadadadadadadda I’m allergic to MOLDS… and penicillin (which I have know about the penicillin for 30 years) I did ask where you would find molds other than in damp wet floor/walls etc…she said all over, such as grass like as now with all this moisture we have gotten….said many different forms but she had trouble with all the names so will just call it molds….I laughed and said I wouldn’t know anything but mold so we were even …….Now I’ll wait and see what we/doc’s think about this allergy and if we treat with something or not……… Also had another CT scan for the Gene study I’m in…..breath, hold, breath, don’t hold etc etc etc….. So nothing else for two weeks when I see the Cardiologist for his results….I really can’t wait for that appt….

You know it's funny Zoom; when I was driving today I was thinking.... "Hmmmm; seems to me Wendy s/b having her allergy tests soon) Dahhhdahaa!
Mold eh? When I think back to what you'd told me once re: your Dr and what she'd told you about your portable a/c etc .......
I have to wonder!
And; let's face it; Colorado isn't what a person would consider to be a condusive climate for mold.
So; assuming you're allergic to the mold....... what can they do about the allergy?
