Good mornin' all.
It's the finest. My Jenny is home and doing
great. She's still a little woozy at times but, all in all, happy to
be home. Lots of hugs and smiles going around.
Menieres is a strange disease. It resides in the inner ear and
affects the equilibrium. It is not fatal but has devastating effects.
Similar to COPD because it is always with you and no cure has been
found to date.
The only way I can describe it is, being seasick 24 hrs a day.
Knowing at any time an extreme attack can and eventually will hit.
When that attack comes it is immediate and totally debilitating.
I won't describe the effects here, but to me, they are frightening.
Enough of the bad stuff and back to the good. Our daughter caught
a flight back to Phoenix this morning. She makes us proud always.
Our DIL is getting a well deserved rest. She has been a rock during
this period. She took charge and made certain that my Jenny
got the attention and treatment she needed. Our son was not
the only 'lucky one' when he took her as his wife.
Just as important are prayers and well wishes from the members
of this forum. When I visited my Jenny in the hospital and informed
her of your prayers, she just smiled and said, "I know".
There is a power in us, of this I am convinced.
Our love and thanks to all of you,
Bill and Jenny
