Thanks so very much everyone, I try not to remember that another year is passing but someone always brings it back to me. Cooking my own Birthday Dinner...Slow-cook Pot Roast with baby carrots, mashed garlic potatoes, and bacon-sauteed green beans all topped off with fresh pumpernickel. It's not easy cooking all that with my eyes closed (I want to surprise myself).
Jackie, BTW, Oscar will not eat cake (or even pizza for that matter) both of which our Poodles would have killed for. Doxies are very unusual but fantastic friends. -- Vic

Happy belated Birthday, Vic. Sorry I missed it yesterday. Your surprise dinner sounded so yummy. I wouldn't even think you'd want cake after a meal like that. Hope the whole day was special for you.
