I just got finished speaking with Gwen, Chris was rushed to hospital last night with what at first appeared to be a heart attack. It wasn't; however; he then began vomiting a fair bit of blood. She left around 2 am once he was stable. They've run a battery of tests last night; they're doing a scope today (still has a fair bit of blood in his stomach). It must have been quite frightening for the both of them.... She's heading back to the hospital and will update when she knows something more. I know that you'll keep him and Gwen in your thoughts and prayers right now.

Gwen I pray for you and Chris ....... he is the 'father' of the group ..... Full of knowledge and understanding without judging people. Always the 'last word' If your mind and courage can bring you through a crisis Chris is well equipped.

Gwen just called; she was home to gt some things for Chris and gave us an update....
He's not had a heart attack. The bleeding has stopped at this point though they can't/won't do a scope because they feel he's not stable enough. They have him on some "powerful drugs" as Gwen stated. His heart rate is high, he has pneumonia in one lung (neither he or Gwen was aware of).
She says that they've a good Dr and the staff are great.... his own family Dr has also been in.
They've moved him to ICU.
Gwen's a trooper; she also has a VG family support network so that's a GREAT help.
If I hear anything more... I'll let you know.

Thank you all so much for your good wishes and prayers. It is so much appreciated. Chris is more stable this evening and we are hoping they will be able to do the scope tomorrow to find out what caused this major bleed. Gave us all a scare I tell ya!! He is in good spirits this evening so I felt able to leave and come home to try to get some sleep. I don't do too well on two hours I tell ya!! Anyway I will try to keep you posted when I can. Linndie, thank you so much for your call, it meant a lot. We"ll be thinking about you tomorow girl and as I said today maybe you and Chris need "twin beds" here!! Blossom thanks for your support and encouragement. Sorry we disturbed your time off. It was not intentional!! Good night all. Gwen
