Several of you have been inquiring....I just received an e mail from Melody's husband Jim..... SHE GOT HER TRANSPLANT!!!

"Hi all,
This is Melody’s husband Jim.
Tuesday afternoon Melody was called for her transplant .
The operation started around 6pm, she was out of O.R. by ten…
In the words of her surgeon one of the smoothest least problematic transplants he has done.
Donor lungs are in excellent condition…..and Mel is recovering quicker than usual (i.e. the repirator is probably out already.)
I will update this list from time to time over the next couple of days…
If I know my wife she will be emailing you herself by the weekend!!!

Such wonderful news. I had been following her story on the 2nd Wind Lung Transplant board but it is gone now. Thanks for the great news Jackie, hopefully soon she'll be singing again soon !!

I'm so happy for Meldoy, and it seems the surgery went smoothly. I know some don't like "group hugs", but I'm sending one to Melody....Joyce in SC
