The following was in my mail this morning from her hubby.....
"So, the kids and I are in the line up for hospital parking this morning at about a quarter to ten.
Melody’s surgeon had predicted she would be pretty groggy until noon.
The cell phone rings. Not unusual these days,
“Where are you guys…why aren’t you here.”
In a loud strong--instantly recognizable were it not so totally unexpected-- voice.
Mel had awoken at eight feeling “just fine thank you and could someone please remove this godforsaken tube from my throat”
Someone did.
She is doing very well. She will probably be out of ICU and onto the transplant floor Friday.
Further dispatches as developments warrant.
The husband."
(Note from Jackie: I've been putting Mel's info here in COPD rather than Thoughts & Prayers intentionally)

This is wonderful news about Melody. I know she can't have flowers in her room, but I thought I'd send them to her here on the forum. She seems to be doing fantastic. I'm so glad for her.. Joyce

I read this when in Seattle and was so excited for her. I was praying for while the surgery was ongoing and just felt good about it. This is something we have tears of joy for so as I read and prayed and even now again reading they are tears of joy for such a wonderful lady!!! Thank you Jackie, I knew when I got home to the PC I would get an update from you.
