Sue - you are in my thoughts so often - and even though I don't have a picture - I lite a candle in your name at church on Sunday - and have sent prayers your way.

Well, thank you again. It was so good having you all waiting with me, as I waited 45 mins. while the radiologist got back from lunch and prepared, then another 25 before he did anything. Plenty of time to get all nerved up, wouldn't you think? But he ended up being extremely kind and explained everything to me. He looked at my mamo and said it definitely is not a cyst so didn't even try aspiration. Just numbed me and took 4 or 5 snippets of the nodule. He said he'd call me tomorrow afternoon with the results, which is really nice. If I don't hear from him, he said for me to call him and gave me his cell phone number. The worst part was the pressure that the tech put on the wound to stop the bleeding, so wasn't too awfully bad at all. I was so nervous after, though, that I got dizzy standing up and walking to my car I felt like I was in another world. I sat for a minute before starting the car and leaving. My legs felt like jelly.
Dentist appt. went fine, but am going to have to shell out another 800 bucks for a crown. Sheesh. I really need to win the big lottery at this rate. But at least the root canal part is finished. It was funny, he said he wasn't going to use novacaine but there might be a touch of tenderness as he would be 'infiltrating'...sounded like a spy mission. He wasn't kidding, he definitely infiltrated and it hurt like heck! So he squirted in some stuff that took the edge off.
So, thanks for the prayers and well wishes. And thanks for remembering me at church, Carolyn. It really means a lot to me.
Bless and love you all!!!!!! Sue

Sue....................I'm not good with words...but I want you to know that I'm sending prayers that all is all right. A little story....about 9 yrs. ago I had blood in my urine. Went to doctor..had ultrasound. They found a cyst on my ovary. I was sure it was the same cyst I had 20 yrs. earlier that I thought had burst and gone away. Anyway... went to specialist. He said it was not a fluid filled cyst and he'd take it out laparascopically (sp). When I went to hospital they told me it was going to be done abdominally in case it was cancer. When I woke up they said it wasn't. You know what?...I wasn't worried anyway. I knew it was the old cyst that had been sitting there all those years. But now I have this big long scar. So, we never know till we know. I still think You'll be fine.
Went to chiro app't, got some groceries and came home. That was about all I got done today. Will try to do less tomorrow...tee hee. Sleep well all.

Sandy, you are always just fine with words, and yours are comforting. I will deal with what ever it turns out to be, of course. Just hope it's the same results that you received!

Susan, I was reading here and wanted to wish you luck on your outcome with the results.
Due to bad situations with dentists I lacked the proper care and my teeth got so bad before I found a very good dentist. I learned so much from him. I needed to know what they were doing in order to not be so worked up. I discovered and told him that it was the words they used that made things worse. Who likes to hear that they will be 'drilling' in your mouth. Then with the stuff they use to treat your tooth most the time you don't know what they are talking about. There were some words that were really harmless and yet sounded bad. He was like seeing a counselor for me.
In all his helping me I discovered that so much of my fear was unfounded because it was those words.
In your case of infiltrating I think the word was equal to the situation.
Best of luck to you.

You are so right, Mary. That was pretty much what my dentist said to me, it's the language he uses to keep patients from worrying. I love my dentist, he's really the best I've ever known. And no elevator music, nope. He's got Golden Oldies blaring....I think his 'just turned 80 2 weeks ago' hearing is slipping! Good news everyone! The radiologist called with congratulations! It is a benign growth and I don't have to have any surgery on it. Another ultrasound in 6 mos. to check and that's it.Whew! I'm glad that's over, but we all stuck together now, didn't we? Thanks again. I do have to wonder a little bit. Hate to go looking for trouble but I googled what he called it and I do not fit the profile for it at all, by a long shot. So I must be one weird chick. I hope I'm weird, anyway. Heck, you know me...I AM weird!

Susan NY, Yeah for your good news!! So glad for you. Martie, Prayers and good thoughts coming your way. Chris and I are home for 10 days and trying to get caught up with everything before we go back to Victoria next week. Appointments out the wazoo this week [doctor, dentist, chiropractor, car service] you name it , not to mention piles of mail to wade through and bills to pay!! Lots of yucky weather for a lot of you. Makes me glad that we mostly get lots of the liquid stuff. Keep reminding myself at least you don't have to shovel this!! Might suffer from third degree mildew though. For those of you who have not tried or maybe not mentioned to your spouse/caregiver, the new Caregivers forum, you might suggest they give it a try. Great place to share trials and tribulations and ideas to help. Think about the wonderful feeling you get from all our friends here who share on a daily basis. Wouldn't it be great for your caregiver to have there own "place" to chat and exchange ideas? Anyone have any special ideas or requests for the December Newsletter? Please email me if you do. Need to get started on it pretty soon!! Have a good day everyone!! Hugs Gwen
