Jackie -- I'm praying for you and praying for the best in the tests...we can't afford to have you incapacitated, you're our Giant in the COPD world and we need you badly. God Bless you and watch over your health. -- Vic

You all continue to touch me so very much with your love, notes, prayers and such very kind words. I'm so very fortunate to have you in my corner; I truly am.... I'd be so lost without you! I can't help but think of the folks who perhaps don't have a support network. So very sad..... Be assured Linndie I'm not a passive patient. After I had the test on Monday, I called the office on Tuesday basically saying I want to be kept informed and I don't want to be having to run all over town or make a lot of phone calls again to get the results regardless of the outcome. Y'day (Wed) just before I left for the Legislature the secretary called to tell me that no, the results weren't in yet. I thanked her and again expressed my "need to know" when they are. It took me a few minutes to "regroup" and refocus and get on to COPD business though I'll tell you after the call. So; as of right now.... I still don't know anything. I promise that when I do, I'll let you know. Again...... ALL And I LOVE YOU!

Still hanging in with you hon., but you must have made an impact on that secretary for her to call to say no results were in yet. Good for you.

Good Morning Friends.... Thank you for standing by me. It means so very much to a person when they're already ill and this other stuff added to it just makes things almost unbelievable. I'm no exception. I also thank you all for your continued prayers, positive thoughts and your shrine visits John.... I just wanna squeeze you all so darn much O.K.; I've a copy of the results (printout) but I'm not scheduled to see the Specialist till the 2nd of Dec.so what he may have to say, or do, if anything has yet to be seen. (we had it faxed over to the family Dr.... I've not seen either of them at this point.) I told his office I "couldn't" wait till the 2nd. I have one nodule that has grown a bit but not signifigantly since 3 months ago. The other nodule is unchanged. There's a new one which is "indeterminate" in nature. There was "no aggressive osseous lesions" seen. They believe the nodules in question are too small yet for needle aspiration or to be characterized by a PET CT scan. In a nutshell, there's nothing totally concrete one way or the other.... Doesn't that sound familiar with these things? Their recommendation is a follow up scan in 6 mos and the lab went ahead themselves and already booked one. However; What I do know is that I will gladly take that recommended 6 month "reprieve"; even psychologically at this point believe me, and I interpret this report as positive. And; here's hoping the Dr isn't negative when I see him becasue if I'm strong enough again by then I may not be my usual pleasant ;D self.... and; after I've seen him I'll share with you. Now; I just have to recover from this current exacerbation and I'll be back on my game..... Again, I thank you ALL from the bottom of my

What a great bit of news! I'd take it to mean the same as you; the last time they wanted to repeat in 3 mos, now they've extended the repeat for 6 mos...yep, good news. You should be well healed from this and any future problems that might arise, as May is a good time of the year. I mean, outside of allergies, colds, flu, etc are usually over by then. Take it very easy and get better now, ok? You know we all love you right back just as hard and strong as you do us. Sue

Zoom; I wouldn't wanna get in there either! TY for the chuckle. Saw the Thoracic Surgeon (Oncologist) y'day and I just wanna put some current closure on this for all of you.... God knows I owe you for your love, prayers and/or postive thoughts. As you klnow I said I refused to "wait" the 2 weeks or so to know the report from the scan so I had it fax'd over to our GP, hubby then picked up the copy from him. And; I'd already told you what we read. Y'day we met with the Guru (yeahp; the same one that did the "original" surgery etc.....) Anyway; the long and the short.... it's basically what we already informed you of ...... The thing is when I had the lobectomy, I'd had 2 different types of cancers which I knew. Y'day he told me that the recurrence of the original 2 is low, the growth of "new" is higher. The other thing I learned was..... and this may help some of you..... CT's can pick up at least a year earlier than x-rays. Now; I'm not saying or promoting that at some point you might wanna ask for a scan but......... something to think about given our disease etc? The other thing I learned was that (they're learning) you can have cancer "granulobes" (I think that's the term he used) floating around in there but they're probably best left alone until the "unite" or "come together" Too bad we couldn't take something to stop that "come together" wouldn't it? Anyway; I'm starting to get on the upswing of my current flare up..... so onward and upward. Yes; I have spots (including new) ..... yes I need a rescan. But also like I mentioned before, they're gonna wait 6 months. Now; 6 months may not seem like a long time (in a positive light) but it can be, and in my case is..... a very nice reprieve I assure you. Everything is realative..... From my to yours And with more love than you could possibly imagine...... Thank You...... Jackie
