Ted Koppel supports Rehabilitation Act

I have shared this a couple other places today. Thought I would put it here for the few US members that may just read here.

Some of us talked previously about the Koppel's and COPD. I for one will take back some of what I said or thought. No matter what her situation is about, this is what we need. Very happy to see this. The rehab bill just is not getting thru. This is important.
My biggest COPD interests are Support Groups, Pulmonary Rehab and reaching the newly diagnosed that could use more/better information. The first two can bring about the third cause.

I didn't think the name was spelled right but it is how the paper has it. It had both but I thought one L was all.

This is how I posted it elsewhere. We didn't really discuss it here but in the past Grace Koppel's disease did not sound quite the norm or at least the way it was being presented. Seemed not the full story. HOWEVER, whatever the reasons, this is a good move. We need someone that is recognized on our side.

I am really gratified to see some "star power" helping us COPD'ers but it is really up to each and every one of us to get off our duffs and let the powers that be, know just how fed up and frustrated we are in so many instances. Remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil.
If you are unhappy with the number of rehability programs or facilities, the amount of media coverage, of doctors attitudes, of government indifference, or even the general publics attitude. It is now the time to speak out and be much more vocal. Do not settle for meagre handouts. Cry out for much more, after all COPD and lung disease is killing us at an ever increasing rate.

I agree with that.

Someone in the public eye will receive much more recognition than we will.
