. Today is a special day. If wondering, it's my wedding anniversary today. Back in Dec 19 - 1987, my wife & I got married. In a little country church, it had snow covered ground and we had a Christmas theme. White wedding dress, red bride's maid dresses and "hand muffs" and all. WOW. Hard to believe we were married that long ago. Seems like only yesterday.
For tonight, the entire family is going out for dinner. The "ill" (sinus / head cold) family members probably won't eat very much. As a surprise to me (but I found out from my buddy across the road), my wife booked our daughter to sing at the same place we plan to eat. Eat and listen to my daughter sing - with their professional grade electronics / speakers. I cannot wait.....

Cute Deetsk!
Spike.... It really would be nice to know what your "bride's" name is. We won't let her old boyfriend know that you ran off with her!
Seriously though..... I sooooo wish you both the very best on your Anniversary...... lot of water under the bridge and challenges I'll bet.....
To you and your lovely wife.....
Happy Anniversary!

Just got back from our dinner and dance. And as planned, my daughter was the introduction singer. She got on stage with her winter coat on and sang her first song. It sound "ok" but one can tell the audience didn't warm up to her. She then took her thick winter coat off, put her "mind in that zone" and poured 110% into her next song. For the 2nd song, she didn't try to sing for them. She turned inward and "sang for herself". The entire audience went silence with awe. They couldn't believe the excellent sounds hiding under that previous thick winter coat. For the next few songs, people started dancing (infront of the stage). Then, the adult singers came on the stage afterwords. Their lead singer immediately thanked my daughter for opening their show and for "warming up the audience" for them. And, said to the crowed that when this young singer becomes legal age, no interview is required. She'll be hired on the spot. The entire audience clapped.
As my daughter sang and her voice energized the many souls in the large room, it made our day. A pricess wedding anniversary gift for my wife & I. Definately, a pricess memory....
Many thanks for your positvie support...

Uploaded with ImageShack.usWhat a lovely way to celebrate your many years of love. I'm sure it's another special day you'll never forget. You and your wife must have shared a moment of wonder at how your family has grown and flourished. On a side note, my husband and my wedding must have looked very similar to yours: I wore white velvet and carried a white velvet muff, and my matron of honor wore red velvet w/red velvet muff, flower girl, cream lace and green velvet w/green muff. Our wedding pictures must be similar. Your wife and I must have been on the same designer wave length. (ours was a few years b/4 your wedding, 1973)
