Our forum boss Klaas has been in hospital and is home now, but he is not well at all. His motto always was: Never give up. Now he seems to give up, according to his doctor.

I'm so very sorry to hear that Helen. You have spoken about him often. When a person is very ill; such as Klaas has obviously been it's hard to get back into a mental state of "not" giving up. It sounds like he's been through a bit lately. I can only hope, and I'll say a prayer, that he can move beyond that mentality as his body slowly heals and he becomes stronger. Hopefully as that happens, his feelings/attitudes will change. Hugs for you Helen and for Klaas

Uploaded with ImageShack.usA candle has been lit for Klaas, and prayers go out that he feels stronger soon. Prayers that someone will be sent into his life to give him back his will to fight this disease. And prayers for his forum family, that they may have peace.

Sometimes we give up for a minute, because we are so sick of being sick. I hope he feels better soon. Hugs for Klaas and you too Helen.

The Dutch forum members have asked me to say to you (and of course I agree): Thank you very much for your compassion!

We're ALL friends (universally) in COPD Helen as you certainly know.
Compassion? Yes. BUT; a shared understanding regardless of the language.
I hope Klaas is made aware of how many people are on his team (internationally) and rooting for him!

A forum member who has their number, called and spoke to Klaas’s wife Lia. He is not well, in bed, talks little and wants to be left alone. He eats little to nothing and has lost much weight. His GP will come by today, because this can’t go on.
Lia and Klaas know how much everyone cares, also in Canada/USA. And they say thank you to all of us.

Helen; have you heard anything further?
Also; do you mind my asking what happened or how long he was in the hospital?

Blossom,
It is not very clear to me, what exactly happened. Klaas went to hospital on Feb. 12th, with diarrhea and also because his sugar level was too high. He has been in a care home for a short time and came home on March 8th.
He lost a lot of weight and apparently his will to fight.
No further news yet.

Thank You Helen..... our prayers for him will continue!
I'm gonna send you an e mail in the next day or so BUT; you will probably need to translate..... are you up for it or can Klaas translate /read English himself?
|

|
Post by helen on Mar 20, 2011 15:55:15 GMT -5
I can translate, Jackie.
I can put your original message first and my translation under it.
That's how I do it with the messages on the forum. Just to be sure nothing gets lost or misunderstood.

Thank you so very much Helen. I have to warn you however..... it might be a "long one!" It would also be intended solely for Klaas and/or his family. Give me a day or so.... I'll be in touch. Again.... Thank You!
