A few moments ago, one of my other friends just emailed me. She's had a sore throat, difficult time breathing and felt like #$%$#% for the last 2 weeks. Like many, her GP felt it was a common cold. A cold that many of us get. Especially the ones that last 7-10 days. A few days ago, she want back to her GP. Her antibiotics isn't working and her GP's inner voice is now kicking in. So, immediately off to the Specialists. Below is what she just wrote to me:
---------------------
Well, here is what I know so far…
I just thought you might like to know we are no further ahead at the moment.
Well, I guess maybe a little further – I just had an ultrasound done and there is a cyst almost the size of a golf ball in my lymph node. I am waiting for my doctor to call me with an appointment for a biopsy. It may be done today if they can fit me in, if not, it will be next week some time unless he gets a clear reading from the radiologist.
I will keep you posted. Oh yes, they also did see a lesion in my thyroid about 1.3cm (which also may explain why I feel so tired all the time)
Sorry, that’s all I can tell you at this time. I don’t know what to expect next.
Signed: Audrey F.
---------------------
If wondering, she's the same age as me. Man, talk about hitting one's heart even harder. If you can, please help me pray for my friend. A friend who is worth saving....
Thanks.

Spike, I am so sorry about your friend and without doubt she will be in my thoughts and prayers. If you will just leave her first name I will have her put will my church prayer group and one person will pray for her all the time and of course all will pray for her also. I will pray God grants her peace of mind. Please tell her If God Leads you there He will Lead you away from there also.
Happy Trails, Rosemarie

Spike, It's always difficult when a good friend becomes ill. I'm always sorry to hear about someone getting sick. I certainly hope that your friend's doctors can cure this and get her back on track. I will add her into my prayers.

Update: Feedback from Audrey....
"Biopsy was done on my neck and the recommendation is that the cyst be removed and be retested. That could be in a couple of weeks and then I will need my rest - just uncomfortable today - thanks for caring!!!!".
Many thanks for praying for my friend. It is helping....

Below is news that "just came in..."
------------------------
Well, what can I say, the answers that I was looking for I didn’t get.
There is a whole in my sinus about the size of a dime and it is not repairable. It causes my nose to bleed for no reason, especially when I am upset.
As for my tonsils, at this time, he sees nothing wrong with them, he is not planning to take them out unless he sees something while he is removing the cyst.
As for the cyst, everything points to a branchial cleft cyst. I said, good then its benign and he quickly said not necessarily. It could still be malignant. The size of it has grown and it now between the size of an orange and a grapefruit. It needs to be removed and I have been put on his emergency list. He is planning to have it out before the end of July, he is just waiting for additional surgery hours from the hospital. I will have to stay overnight and the surgery will be 1 to 2 hours long with some risks involved.
---------------------
Please help me pray for my dear friend... A friend who needs all our help...

Update:
Starting yesterday morning, my friend is now back to work. She's working full time and back to her usual "ready to rock and roll" attitude. If wondering, Audrey had neck surgery 3 weeks ago. They removed a large cyst from her inner neck and luckily, its a none cancer type. Just a big "lump of growth" that was slowly chocking her, warping her voice box and almost wrapped around her necks main artery. A very risky surgery that could have gone either day. Today, she is doing great. She faught the odds, she took the pain and in the end, she turned into a much better person. Don't get me wrong... She was a great person before her diagnoses and very risky neck operation. Today, she's even a better then before the milestone in her life. She appreciates every day much more and shes' grown much closer to her spouse. Before, it sounded like her marriage was almost "on the rocks". Today, she has changed and so has her spouse - of 8+ years. They've grown closer together. Perhaps a few positives - even though she didn't deserve this cyst and its pain to remove it.
Many thanks for your prayers. My friend Audrey is doing great - today. Thank you!!!!
