Since I last posted here I have had a colonoscopy and a endoscopy, They were no problem at all even though I was a nervous wreak. And I came out with flying colors. On the 22 ND of September I made another trip to Cleveland to be seen at a Lipid Clinic By a Cardiologist. He gave me a though examination and a EKG, My EKG was not normal so he ordered blood work and a echo on my heart. And also a Heart cath on my right and left side on October 6 Th. So we will see how that works out. I had to turn in a 24 hr urine test also. I then met with the Dietitian, And she went over how I need to be eating and what. The opposite of what I was told before . So I'm hopeful I can get this 10 to 20 pounds off that I need to. I don't think it will be to hard to change my diet I already was doing part of it. The hardest thing is shopping and finding the better stuff for you so far. And so the the journey continues, And I still don't know if I'm any closer. Bobbi

Wow Bobbi, you sure have had alot done in a short amount of time. My EKG and Echo and Heart Cath was part of the evaluation. Is yours or are they just adding that to yours?
They added the Barium Swallow this year for evaluation.
Did the nutritionist do BMI on you? Mine was way low. I find alot of the good foods in the Fresh Market or Whole Foods. If you don't have those around you, alot of the supermarket are really carrying all natural products, but still, you have to look at the contents. Not all natural products are suited for your particular goal.
So glad you are staying strong with the testing.

Bobbi.... I don't know how long this entire process takes; and it seems like they don't give you a checklist or something of all the things they want to look at (barring anything extra that comes up in the tests which might add more) but man oh man.... I think at some point a person's gotta be saying ...."How much more before I find out!"
Regardless of what transpires; I think you've a GREAT attitude about it all and you really have seemed to be doing much better.
Remember Toni...... she had a LOT more weight than you to loose and a few other health issues BUT.... she got through and got her Tx.
Did he indicate what the "abnormality" was that would lead them to want to do a heart cath?

So much patience in needed! I think you and anyone else in this search are very brave and very strong...and very patient. It sure would be nice if they provided a check list like Blossom mentioned. It would help you get some indication of where you are in the process, knowing that things might be added.
I hope nothing serious will be found in your cardio tests. I say a prayer for you every time I read your posts.

I am wishing the best for you, Bobbi.
Unfortunately, some things unforeseen do come up, and a checklist would be great.
I think that IMO they should have switched things around for me. Consult about process with surgeon, all other verbal meetings, supports in place, and then testing.
I know you will make your goal. I think that a diet thread would be great on here since many have either high or low weight issues, even without eval for tx.
You are doing great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
