I had to think on this one over night as to "what to post" or "what not". Ellen didn't want to post becasue she "didn't want to disappoint people" here. I've opted to copy an excerpt from her message to me because one of the reasons we're here is to "support" each other and "lean on" when we need it. And right now she needs our support. She may not post for a few days till she comes to grip with the following....
"Well I am home from my appointment, and to me I feel it is not good news. Dr. Waddell thinks there is a problem with the blood flow to my lungs, which could have been caused when I had the blood clot in 2001. I will have to back to Toronto to have some tests done on my heart, to see about this. There may be medication that possibly could make my breathing a little easier, but he does not want to give me any false hope. When all is said and done I have emphysema throughout my lungs, so I am not a candidate for the balloons or LVRS. When I have the appointment for my heart he wants to book me an appointment for a double lung transplant. That completely floored me. I know it is something, but honestly I am really upset about this."
Ellen; We'll wait for you and we'll be here when you're ready.

CoCo,Im so sorry,Maybe its for the best. They have been doing more and more transplants and people are living longer and longer. I have read quiet a bit about it,because it was mentioned to me before. But I have never been tested for either Tx or LVRS. My Fv1 raised from 23% to 28% after being on Sprivia for awhile and Rehab. Havent had it retested. Your in my thoughts and Prayers Good Luck with whatever you choose to do. bobbioh
