Bare with me here. I am at a loss where to put my posts about Debbi aka Pagequeen1 since the LWC forum was deleted. I will begin with 2 prior posts and then today's comments.
The following I posted on a forum on July 16th:
Debbi is having some problems since her surgery. It was a major operation for her but I thought she was healing. I didn't hear from her for almost week and I emailed her last night and 'part' of her reply today was as follows. For her just doing surgery is a challenge. We already quit emailing because she was not to spend much time at the computer. I will call her if too much time goes by.
"I've been very ill. Had to go to er yesterday. I had a knot about two weeks ago and it kept getting bigger and hurting like crazy. Saw doctor about it last Tues and he didn't know what it was, but by Thursday I was in such pain and the knot had grown to fist size. I finally HAD to go by ambulance to ER. Doctors there didn't know, but did two CT scans, chest xrays all of the usual and discovered it was a hematoma where fluid, probably blood had collected at the top of my incision site.
They also found that my coumadin levels were way to high. I just had it checked Thursday and it was fine. The fluid may have to be drained, it's up to the surgeon. Anyway, I've got to stay on my back and not do anything to get pressure on it."
Sure she can use the prayers. I will keep you posted."
On July 19th I posted the following:
For anyone wanting an update on Debbi, the following is from parts of emails she sent me after seeing the doctor Tuesday. She words it so much better than I could. Sounds like if she behaves, she won't be around for a while. Keep praying, I am:
"Dr. says hematoma has stopped bleeding. No lifting, pushing, no coughing (he gave me cough syrup) and back to see him in 2 weeks. He says that it looks like it is a little smaller. More pain pills, stay off feet. . . . . "
"Mary, from what I understand, I either lifted something too heavy, coughed too hard or pushed something that caused this big "bruise" at the top of my incision site on the inside. It's a "sack" of fluid, probably blood about the size of a big fist. Because I'm taking blood thinners this is a rare occurrence, but does happen.
Yes, I was in so much pain Saturday . . . .thus the trip to hospital. I seem to be feeling a little better today and am trying to ease up on the pain pills, but am trying to stay quiet and not push, pull, lift or cough. He gave me some cough medicine to help control the coughing and it seems to be working.
I miss you and everyone else too, hopefully, this will reabsorb back into my body within a couple of weeks. If not, they will have to go back in with a large needle and drain the fluid."
This afternoon I received this message:
...."I talked to the doctor's PA today and she said to take it easy and if I'm still bleeding & clotting to call her in the am. Visiting nurse is coming out in the morning to draw more blood. So far, no explaination for why this is happening. Just getting old, I guess...."
The reason I didn't update this week on this forum is because it didn't seem anyone really knew Debbi.
I am concerned about Debbi. Please keep her in your prayers Please.

Earlier today I saw reference to Debbi being unwell on Johns new site, up to then I knew nothing, Mary you have given much more information. She will be in my thoughts, Debbi is a person who has sent me cards for years now, Christmas, Easter etc, always I mean to send cards to her and never do, a prayer is the least I can do.

Me, me, I have heard (raising my hand)!!! Hi Jackie. I am so busy and I miss talking to you. I bet you don't miss my long emails tho. (being silly) Kidding aside now. Debbi is just not feeling well at all. Here is her email to me yesterday. Anyone that does do mailing with her, please realize that she cannot sit at the computer long at all. "Dear Mary, .........I've just been so sick. I finally got my bleeding to stop and coumadin levels back to normal. This hematoma is worse than having the tumors, . It it doesn't start going down in two weeks, they are going to have to stick a needle in and try & drain it. Dr. says this happens infrequently, but mostly on people who are on blood thinners. ....... I'm getting rather depressed about this whole thing."I did yesterday give her the links to this forum, the new (new to her) replaced forum and to one other, CK that she goes to. Maybe in time she will read the prayer sections if you want to post an encouraging note. A little background here for anyone sort of new. Debbi has been around for years on these boards. She waited way to long for surgery to be done and was risky with her health problems. Delay was bouncing around of the doctors, and not Debbi's fault. She was in a lot of pain. I didn't think the pain would be worse if she survived the surgery but seems she has problems. I think the waiting to get back on her feet wouldn't have been so bad if she just had not gotten this hematoma. We are still praying for you Debbi. Rest and get well. I sure miss you.

Thank you so much Mary for the update; it's really appreciated. I've not e'd Debbi direct for a couple of weeks; I knew she was having problems.....She needed the surgery so badly and was forced to wait soooo long; it just seems a d**ned shame that now she's having to go through this.....Love & prayers to you Deb; hope you get to feeling better real soon. It's long past due....

I hate that Debbi is having to go through all this. I will be thinking of her and praying for her too. With our respiratory problems being as they are, if something else goes wrong, it can be just overwhelming. Thank you for the update.
