: Just getting feet wet in here. Have spoken to a couple of you who gave me welcome but guessing this may give an answer to all who said welcome. I do not have COPD but was introduced to this website and my want is to learn more about COPD. Knowledge someone said is power and I firmly believe that. Ignorance or ignoring things around us is grounded in fear and anger methinks. By finding out more about things around us we may be able to help or share that knowledge with others and give relief or another perspective on their little day to day problems. A bit about me. My wife and I have lived in Whitby since 1969, in two houses on the same street, two doors from the other. We love to travel and learn about different areas, but lately we have been to Hilton Head SC more times than elsewhere. This year while there it had been the only area not having much weather except balmy skies. One night a tornado which was 2000 feet up dropped some hail on the airport there. It was about 6 miles to the north of us. I am a reflexologist and have been doing that for about 10 years. Prior to that I worked with the telegraph (after morse code times, ). Then after downsize in 1988, I took a software computer course. During that year we took off for two week vacation and had a car accident in MA, then worked through Manpower Temp as a temporary for 5 years in an EDS print shop located on GM property. When that time was through 1993 I learned reflexology and am happy and impressed with results in people's health these 15 years (2008). I am always positive about life and its foibles, etc. Good times always. When I was 12 yrs old my brother discovered a network company called Nutri-bio (maybe the old ones here remembers it). I was impressed with their marketing plan and ever since have studied various companies. I have been involved with a couple and one time I called all of the 'the free enterprise system in it's purist form'. There's always something for everyone to do and share with others no matter our condition. Guess that's it and hope this long, windy exhortation goes through. whitbyimmune (Dave S)
