WELCOME Karen! Hopefully by now you have "activated" your membership on the message board.
Please feel free to look around, read etc. Then just jump right in anywhere; whenever you're ready.
Some folks have coffee and are regulars at the "Over the Fence" (they're always looking for a fresh face), others swing by the gym (we all need exercise); some stick to the COPD area; well... you get the idea. Perhaps in time (if you're not a member already) you'll sign up at COPD Canada Patient Network (www.copdcanada.ca) It's open to e'one.
Make yourself at home; you'll be received warmly I assure you.
Again Karen, welcome!
My name is Jackie aka Blossom. I look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome Karen, Trust me we all know the fear. I was dxed with Asthma 20 yrs ago, Im 46 and COPD 2 yrs ago October. I was also told a lung transplant was my only hope. Well today after several bad bouts. Im feeling strong. And far from ready for any of that TX stuff. I also attended Plumo Rehab when first Dxed. I recommend it highly to anyone and everyone. And to exercise daily. You will find your own tricks to cope as the days go by. Try not to focus on the bad try to focus on figuring out what works for you. Stop by often and ask all the questions you need. We are diffrent but the same here. Welcome Bobbi
