Thank you for your warm welcome Blossom. I was hospitalised & diagnosed with Emphysema twelve years ago & I thought my time had come, but with the treatment I received I went on & built my own 4 bedroom house with the help of my wonderful wife. Twelve years on & I get SOB just walking to the other side of the room, & get a lot of swelling in the legs Doctors have tried all sorts of medication but none seem to work for me. At the moment I am on Symbicort 200/6 & Ventolin the Doc has just taken me off spiriva. Any help would be most welcome Thank you once again ,Ernie

WOW! WTG!!!!! Kudos my dear.
Getting any exercise at all? How come you were taken off Spiriva? Any other medical conditions? (I'm thinking from the swollen legs perspective)
Sorry to hit you with so many Q's at once.....

Ernie; good to see your push pin and where you're located.
Guess I should have clarified on the WTG etc. It was for your house building! I've also sent Chris a note re: the Oxyview glasses BTW.

Hi All you good people out there, I am still trying to find my way around this site. The Dr took me off Spiriva as it could be affecting the problems I am having with my water works. The medication I now take is Furosemde, Simvastatin,Tamsulosin,Ventolin Symbicort 200/6 I also have problems with Oedema in the legs & feet & I have got an abdominal Aortic Aneurysm & because of the Emphysema surgery is out of the question for me. I am on 2Lt's Oxygen at night & when needed in the day time. ( Boy O' Boy do I need a miracle ) Keep smiling. Ernie

Hi Ernie. Welcome. Don't you just love it, you get the breathing under control and then something else pops up. Sometimes, you just have to shake your head. I have the same with the swelling, and now on different medication along with my inhalers. They are working, and just cut back my water pills (doc. permission) as the water works, did not want to stop working. If you know what I mean. Much better now.
