I have been diagnosed today and I have never been a smoker. My whole family smoked when I was young including my younger sister. This really bites and I am at a loss for other words except why me?

Copd is not caused just by smoking, it is the #1 cause but there are other reasons people get Copd, genetics, environmental etc....sorry Wendy, and I do understand your question, I feel for anyone who is diagnosed with this disease...who diagnosed you and what did they say? Cocojax is right; who diagnosed you and how?
Have you had an Alpha 1 test by any chance?
