I hope it's okay to put this here...some of you will remember Ken from some other forums....he has been much better with his COPD but this is part of an email I received from him today....wanted to share..............................

I have been having severe headaches for about 9 months now. I got a new doctor and he ordered a brain scan. The scan came back abnormal so they put me in the hospital right away on Thursday and ordered an MRI, MRA and MRV. The neurologist thinks I have Cavernous Angioma but will get confirmation probably Monday when I see the neurosurgeon. I am so glad my lung function is so much better since it looks like brain surgery is going to be scheduled. There has been bleeding deep in the right frontal lobe and that answered for the blurry vision, headaches and my left leg collapsing.

Thanks for letting everyone know Wendy, I remember Ken well and will keep him in my prayers.

Thanks Wendy. I will be praying for Ken as he goes thru this difficult time. I sure do miss seeing him. I hope this all works out well for him.

I've been wondering about Ken (and a few others) for a bit; haven't seen them around. I "believe" Ken also said he had Parkinson's; always said he shook and it was hard for him to type.

A lovely man.....

Please keep us updated if possible. And w/o a doubt; he'll be in my prayers....

received this from Ken....sound like they aren't too worried right now.................this is good....


I have what is thought to be a Cavernous Angioma. It is a cluster of deformed blood vessels deep on the right frontal lobe of the brain. The doctors don't think it is bleeding now so have sent me home till I see the neurosurgeon on 8 April. The doctors don't think there is anything to worry about at this time and neither do I.
