Welcome Scottsproul; Please feel free to jump in anywhere anytime on any topic. Some folks check in daily at the Fence- it's open to anyone, anytime... (come pop in and have a coffee with us), or If there's a general interest item or COPD related issue you want to comment on, share or ask questions, by all means ask away. Or start a thread on a topic of interest or concern to you. Whatever YOU are comfortable with. Don't worry about posting in the wrong area or anything; that's why we have great moderators who can move things or copy etc. There's a fair bit of information here and folks are pretty friendly and quite diversified when it comes to COPD; if they don't know something they'll point you in the right direction at the very least.I guarantee you'll be made to feel at home right away! If you've not yet joined our parent organization/ COPD Canada Patient Network, www.copdcanada.ca/sign_up.htm Please consider it. It's open to e'one internationally and it's Free. Membership has it's benefits! There's a lot we can learn and share together ... I hope in time you'll think of us as a 2nd family if you're willing. So; make yourself at home and get comfy! My name's Jackie, aka Blossom. I look forward to getting to know you!

;D Hi to everyone and thanks for the warm welcome ! I was told on Tuesday I have COPD and as of yet, I don't know how severe it is until July 21/09 Doctor's appointment, although I was told on Tuesday, not to worry about quitting smoking ?? I took this as a bad sign, but oh well, will see what happens on July 21 ! I started taking Spiriva on Tuesday, and felt 100 % better right off the bat, oh well, play it by ear ! Doesn't matter how I feel, there's always someone in worse shape, those are the people I feel for ! I'll keep in touch in this forum, planned on going out on my sailboat at 10am, weather is fantastic plus I feel great !

Canuckster... I noticed you must have registered twice I'm not gonna touch that one (not to worry about quitting smoking) with a 10 ft pole. Incidentally though.... I would think that the "taking it as a bad sign" might be more relative to your Dr (or whoever diagnosed you) and not the stage you're at. Not if you're active enough to be going sailing ! I'm glad that you're feeling great! Feel free to pop in and participate anytime!

OH OH , I tried to register as scottsproul, but I couldn't access the activation code through my regular e-mail, so I tried again using Canuckster, using yahoo.ca, now I have two accounts. How do I delete one of these ?? Sorry about that.
