Great to see a Canadian site.  everyone, I have had COPD for years, but never would quit. I did quit when I couldn't inhale another drag off the cigarette. Spending 2 wks. in the hospital near death was my wake up call. My smoking hx is I smoked for 50 yrs. at 2 pks a day & quit last April/10. Being on oxygen now 24/7 isn't exactly a slice but hey I can at least breathe. Grateful to still be here. Look forward to meeting everyone. |

Nice to see you here, Bonnie! And congratulations on the quit  , but sorry it happened the way it did  I am guessing you are also from BC - anywhere close  - Gwen and I are close to Duncan on Vancouver Island. There are quite a few members in BC.  |

 , Bonnie! Pleased to meet you and hope you're able to join in and be part of our family. Lots to learn, and we like learning, too, so you're welcome to share anything you come up with about COPD. Not only to we share info, but also meet daily at the "Fence" and keep each other updated on how we're doing. Kinda like a phone call to check on a friend. Sorry we had to meet this way, but then we never would have otherwise. I'm in NY state, USA, a little far from BC!

Welcome a little late but just getting the hang of posting. This wonderful, incredible people who give so much of themselves despite their own trials, you will find very important in your life. They have saved mine. God bless you with that great positive attitude always.
