Uploaded with ImageShack.usGlad to see you join the group. We have a lot to offer both in information sharing and a second home if you'd like. We support each other and get ourselves through the daily obstacles that might cause others to flounder, yet we thrive. Feel free to stop by and have a cup of coffee sometime at the "Fence" and get to know us. Any questions? Ask away. Sue

Nice to see you here Swanny!
Your post concerns me as I think all provinces cover oxygen for severe COPD with enlarged right side heart (known as Cor Pulmonale). Please could you tell us what province you are in so that we can check out the provincial regulations as regards oxygen. Who have you talked to about oxygen - hopefully more than just your family doctor! Oxygen is even more critical for people who have developed enlarged right side heart, but getting prescribed and covered for oxygen cost is difficult because it is expensive.
Applying for CPP disability is something I am not familiar with (I was led to believe that taking early retirement CPP was possible but no-one mentioned CPP disability to me, so I took early retirement - at this time I was living in the US). However I believe that CPP has an appeal process for disability - I suggest that you contact the nearest Service Canada office and talk to them about it - I have been very impressed with their helpfulness when I have talked to them, but I don't think being on oxygen is any sort of requirement for CPP disability.
