Spider..... Welcome; all of us here share at least one common thread..... COPD; in some fashion.
Have a look around; post when you're ready.... Don't worry so much about "where" to post.... we'll move it if need be.
Just jump in anywhere O.K.? Make yourself at home, get comfy..... you're in good company here with some truly wonderful people.
My name is Jackie.... aka Blossom. I look forward to getting to know you better. Maybe you could start by telling us where you're from and a bit about you?
Whatever you're comfortable with is just fine....

Welcome Spyder, You have come to a good place. All who are new to this are confused at first and wondering what the heck hit them!! The main thing is you have come to a good place where people totally understand what you are going through and will help you in any way they can. What you need to hold onto is that this is all about "living with" COPD. This is not the end of the road, just a new beginning. Welcome to the club!! Hugs Gwen

Uploaded with ImageShack.usGood to see you here. This was the first time I'd seen a set-up like this forum, too, and took a bit to figure it out for this computer illiterate person, . I'll give you the basics on how to get around here, and if you have anymore q's, just ask. On the main page, along the left hand side, are all the different areas of conversation and information. Clicking on a heading will bring you to a list of all the topics and posts(these are called threads). There are multiple pages on each of them, and at the top there's a spot to change which page you want to look at, as is a LOT of information here. To the right of the main page are the most recent threads currently being responded to. Click on the topic title in blue and you'll go directly to that topic. You already know how to respond to reply, obviously. To ask a question, go to the topic that you think is where it belongs. (as Blossom said, don't worry about it too much, we have the ability to move to the right space if need be). You'll once again be back to that list of all the different threads. At the top of that list in the red area are some options, one being 'new thread'. Click on it and it'll bring you to a 'form'. In the subject line give your question a brief title, such as 'coughing'. Then move down to the body of the message, write out your question, or whatever you want to write, and click on 'post message' when you're done. Really very simple, wouldn't you say? There's more you can do here, but let's just stick with this for now. You can play around or ask questions about the smilies, etc. Looking forward to helping you out with your COPD and anything else. Stop in to the Fence and join us each day to see how we all are LIVING with COPD. Some pretty decent people here, if I do say so myself! Sue
