Nice to see you here and posting already! Gwen and I live in BC too, now in Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island, but we have lived also in Kitimat and Mackenzie, so we do understand the problems of remote areas! "sats" is short for oxygen saturation level in the blood, which is measured using a pulse-oximeter like the ones shown on the member discount pages www.copdcanada.ca/Member_Discounts.htm and www.fact-canada.com/Sportstat/COPD-pulse-oximeters.html

Thanks Jackie. Found the fence! Heh Chris.........you live in the better part of B.C. now! I am way north in FSJ (Ft. St. John) No on the fuel tax. I did not know about that either. And No on the parking stickers. I live in a bubble the real truth is I have just dealt with it all as best I could on my own. I am just on my two puffers and now realizing the exercise thing is important so have been trying to walk the indoor track which we now have here. A hard go that one! Mostly I just fake it. ;D I think I should get one of those oximeter guys tho'. My last breathing test I was at 43% and they now have me on the new gov. plan with anti-biotics 'standing by' should I need them. I REALLY appreciate all the suggestions and it is so nice to NOT feel all alone anymore.
