Thank you all so very, very much. I guess I don't need to tell most of you who it centres around right now.... he/we have had a few bumpy days..... the latest was a pulmonary embolism. Unfortunately the "getting there" proceedurally (to that diagnosis y'day afternoon finally) was pretty rough on him both physically and mentally. We've a ways to go BUT; things are looking better! As of last night they put the chest drain in trying to remove some fluid but mostly the subcataneous air that's trapped. Looks like a blow fish... BUT; in VG spirits and...... his pain is under control. I love you all and I thank you from the bottom of my

Thanks Sally.... his brother arrives today. He told me y'day that he's hoping to make it till Christmas but the Dr's wouldn't say that he will when he asked them. However; he comes from good fighting stock so....... if anyone can, it's him!

Jackie, thanks for the update, I'm so glad to hear that he is in no pain and the drains will surely take away the excess fluid and air. I find Dr.s rarely like to commit to any kind of time frame, so don't let that throw you too much. I'm sure if he's as stubbourn as you say, and he want's tosee Christmas, then he will. You need to take care of yoursself too, you have your own issues to deal with this month as well. Please please take some time for you to juist be. How is D handling all of this? Know that you are all in my prayers and praying for the best possible outcome for all of you.

Thank you ..... We were down again today.... he's looking sounding good... still a bit of a blowfish in more ways than physical . BUT; he really is doing /feeling better. Heck; the Dr was talking about relaing to Home Palliative on Monday! How bad is that? We took him in some Lobster sandwhiches and a couple of Advent Calendars (you know the kind with choco's behind the doors) for him and his main squeeze to open every day. Honestly guys.... all is well....... And with his and our "souls" if you know what I mean.

Things are always looking good when food is involved and it's looking and tasting good! Sounds like th e perfect choices were made to perk Bri up and keep him happy. Jackie, is Palliative care like Hospice here? If so, it is the best way to keep a patient comfortable and content and safe at home. We had Hospice for my mother and I could never say enough about how wonderful the program is. Their care and their nurses seem just as giving and loving as a family member could be. They were there for our family, mom and every one of us, too, from the moment they became involved until even after mom passed. She passed on Christmas day and our nurse left her skiing party with her family to come and be with us. God love her.
I hope that is the type of experience that Palliative care gives as well. Many prayers and hugs for all, Sue

I hope he does get released to the Palliative care. Sounds like all spirits are up.
