On this forum we recommend that you "Buddie up with someone . ! This means that it would be good to find someone on the site that you "talk" to often & agree to check on each other in the event one or the other is not heard from for an unexplained duration of time ( such as hospitalization ) . "Buddies" agree to go beyond the norm when being concerned about a member . It would be help full if each "Buddie " had a list of the the following pertaining to each other . 1) Full name Of Member & members alternate contacts information 2) a telephone # 3) address 4) an alternate person( with names & #'s ) to contact ,such as a spouse or partner children or grand children I don't know about you but when I'm sick I like to isolate & a nice pm or if necessary a call from a Buddie can make a huge difference in my attitude on any given day. So think it over ! P.S. One can have more than one Buddie

I don't mind being someone's buddy if needed. I know you guys all know each other for a long time and I am not in a position of being hospitalized in a long time as I am an early COPD symptoms, but if a new person would like to have someone - then I'm your girl! ;D
This is such a great idea - hope it works out for everyone!

Well Pips; I'm assuming you want one so... guess we'll have to see if we can fix that!
Anyone in in Pips's geographic location maybe? Not that you need to be if you have a long distance calling plan...

A buddy would be nice, but since Jgirl "disappeared" there is no one within a few thousand miles of me. Never mind, I've been a little red hen all my life and I'll get by.

Jackie mentioned today about the Buddie system in her post on over the fence and that Barb offered last month. I don't remember seeing it so I went to the link Jackie gave. But we also have several Barbs so I don't know if the offer still stands or from whom.
If you think it would be a good idea for me (I'm in pity party mode...)you can email me.

Please remember folks that the Buddy System INCLUDES a family member and they have to be aware/advised of how it works and who to contact etc. Keep the info on your fridge or somewhere obvious for them.

I don't have a buddy being the new "kid on the block" and all. If someone wants to be my buddy that would be cool. I don't have many friends those I do have seldom check on me in real life. I should mention I live in Maysville, Ga. Population maybe 1400, and NO traffic lights! Just stop signs and a police force of 4.
